Speech and Debate Speeches Help?!?

I’m doing speech and debate team next year and I have some really good ideas for speeches, but I need some feed back and a little help.

The first event I want to do is TI (Thematic Interpretation) where you select a theme and perform 3-4 selected ‘pieces’ as apart of your speech and they go under that theme. I want my theme this year to be like " letting go of the past" or "having no regrets".. I do better in dramatic speeches so I think either one of these fits fine. Can anyone suggests a play or book told in first person that iis about a character going through something that they have to learn to let go and have no regrets? I need 3-4 pieces…

The second event I want to do is Expository (Expos) An informative speech on a topic, usually one that is an object like food, or toilet.. pretty much any topic you can explain a lot about ans it uses vidual aids( foam boards with pictures or props) to help explain the topic. I’ve decided to do an expos on ‘Body Language’ any ideas on how I can develop it into a speech? And what key points should I talk about? I was thinking describe the origin of bodylanguage, what each body part does and why, and boys vs. girls body language.. what do you think? And any ideas for cool pictures for the boards?

Finally I want to do OO ( Original Oratory) An original speech in which the main purpose is to inform an audience about a problem and why or how it should be changed… it can be anything from obesity to political issues.. I just need a good topic to speak on.. any ideas?
