A Relationship Needs Space – An Important Factor to Consider If You Want to Win Your Ex Back
It doesn’t matter how much you love your partner – everybody needs a little time away. The problem is, how much space do we need? This is a tough question to answer as the answer varies according to different type of relationship. Some people appreciate space more than others and vice versa.
The crucial point is to find the balance point which makes both of you feel relaxed, but this is the hardest thing to achieve as all of us think differently about how much freedom we need. Therefore, in order to overcome this challenge, you need to negotiate, tolerate and compromise with your partner on this matter.
Some people need to be accompanied all the time. They just don’t enjoy being alone. They want to be with anyone – it could be family, friends, co-workers, their partners… anyone is fine as long as they are not alone, for loneliness makes them feel lost.
On the other hand, some people enjoy being alone. They don’t like the feeling of frequently being under scrutiny of others as it burdens them emotionally. They get rid of all those mental burden by spending some time on their own.
The two cases stated above are the extreme cases. Of course we have many average Joes that neither enjoys loneliness nor accompanied all the time. These are the people who enjoy spending time with the one they love but at the same time, they need a wee bit of time on their own to recharge.
If both you and your partner fall into such category, it should be easier to come to a balancing point as to how much space you need. Things are easy if both of you are in the same extreme group too.
However, things become hard if one of you love loneliness whereas the one don’t. In this case, you will really need a good discussion to come to a conclusion. You need to listen to what your partner need and of course, you need to compromise so both of you don’t feel pressured in this relationship.
This will of course be tough because if you are those who enjoy loneliness and you have a partner who glue to you every minute of every day, she will feel ignored and isolated when you express your desires to be alone. She will probably jump to the conclusion that you don’t love her anymore.
If you enjoy being with your girl so much but she doesn’t enjoy companionship as much as you do, she will start to get the impression that you don’t trust her loyalty. Also, you will become an annoyance to her.
It might not be easy to solve these problems but if you are honest to your partner as to what you need, your partner will start to see things from your point of view. Things will be fine as long as both of you realize that just because a person loves you, it doesn’t mean they will love you in the way you want them to love you.
